Service Technician (Autonomous Electric Vehicles) - Austin TX

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours/week)

Contract Length: 1 year

Overview

Service Technicians to support and maintain a fleet of autonomous electric vehicles. This role is ideal for experienced automotive professionals who want to work with advanced vehicle technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You’ll play a key role in keeping vehicles safe, operational, and road-ready through maintenance, inspections, and field support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document vehicle damage after incidents
• Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs
• Conduct routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, tires, AC, etc.)
• Monitor vehicle health and report issues proactively
• Support field operations, including vehicle recovery and towing coordination
• Transport vehicles for service, repairs, and cleaning
• Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician or similar mechanical role
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
• Basic knowledge of electric vehicles (EVs)
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on electric vehicles (EV Technician)
• Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
• Experience supporting fleet operations

Schedule Options (Fixed Shift)

• Technicians are assigned one consistent schedule:
• Friday – Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Off: Wed & Thu) - Option 1
• Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Off: Sat & Sun) - Option 2
• Saturday – Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Off: Thu & Fri) - Option 3
• Sunday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Off: Fri & Sat) - Option 4
