Charging Station Coordinator FOR A COMPANY IN THE ELECTRIC DELIVERY MOTORBIKE AND CAR INDUSTRY 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Charging Station Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the charging stations located at various malls in JHB , maintenance coordination, and performance of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The successful candidate will ensure all charging infrastructure remains operational, coordinate repairs and installations, liaise with contractors and customers, monitor station performance, and provide administrative support to ensure efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the daily operational status of all EV charging stations.
  • Coordinate the installation, commissioning, relocation, and decommissioning of charging stations.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and emergency repairs with technicians and service providers.
  • Respond to charger faults, outages, and customer complaints promptly.
  • Track maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Liaise with property owners, landlords, municipalities, contractors, and utility providers.
  • Monitor charger uptime, performance, and availability using remote management software.
  • Escalate technical issues to relevant support teams where required.
  • Coordinate stock and inventory of charging equipment and spare parts.
  • Ensure installations comply with company standards, electrical regulations, and health & safety requirements.
  • Prepare operational reports on charger performance, maintenance, and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of service history, warranties, and asset registers.
  • Assist with project planning for new charging station rollouts.
  • Coordinate site inspections and contractor access.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and service-related documentation.
  • Support customer onboarding and provide guidance on charger usage where required.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met by contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in operations coordination, facilities management, project coordination, or technical administration.
  • Experience within the EV charging, electrical, energy, telecommunications, or infrastructure industry is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence.
