Areas of Responsibility:
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment
- Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical cabinet components etc.
- Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and robotic systems
- Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments
- Install electronic parts and hardware, load setpoints, programs as needed and use test equipment to verify operation.
- Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns using proven methods. Utilizing OEM manuals, prints, SOP’s, Literature from Internet searches and co-workers.
Food Safety Responsibilites:
- Perform duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics and other systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and manuals.
- Demonstrate experience as a maintenance technician.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment
- Working knowledge of hand tools, test equipment.
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- The ability to keep yourself busy when scheduled work is complete, there’s always something we need to do.
- The ability to work from heights, scissor lifts, boom lifts and ladders.
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical certifications and/or AS in Electronics, preferred
