Job description: Embedded Firmware Engineer – EV Charger
Location: Yelahanka, Banglore

About The Gig:

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software for EV chargers (AC/DC). The role involves working on real-time control, communication with BMS/vehicle systems, and ensuring safe and reliable charging operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop embedded firmware using C for microcontrollers
• Implement charging algorithms (CC/CV, protection logic)
• Work on communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485
• Interface with BMS and vehicle systems for charging control
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and validation
• Support DVT testing, field issue analysis, and production releases
• Ensure compliance with charging standards like IEC 61851
• Maintain documentation and follow structured development processes

What You Bring:

• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Embedded Systems
• 1-3 yrs Experience
• Strong embedded C/C++ programming
• Experience with microcontrollers (STM32 / TI / NXP / Renesas)
• Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS or similar)
• Understanding of power electronics basics and battery charging
• Hands-on debugging experience (JTAG, oscilloscopes, CAN tools)
• Experience in EV chargers or power electronics domain
• Familiarity with protocols like OCPP or ISO 15118
• Knowledge of MISRA C / Automotive standards
• Reliable and efficient charger firmware
• Robust safety and fault-handling implementation
• Support for product validation and field performance
