Full Job Description

Bear Copper Electric is looking for a dedicated, experienced, and well rounded Residential Electrician to join our team, specializing in the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. As a Residential Electrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality electrical services in homes, including EV charger installations, while ensuring excellent customer service. We are partnered with major EV charger brands like Bouge RV, Lectron, and Mustart and will provide all necessary training and certifications.

At Bear Copper Electric, we specialize in residential electrical services, with a focus on providing certified EV charging station installations. We are a Licensed Contractor for eco-friendly upgrades and take pride in delivering efficient and safe electrical solutions to our clients.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Install and maintain EV charging stations in residential settings, ensuring all work is performed safely and to code.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, scheduling confirmations, and addressing their needs professionally.
  • Take before and after photos of installations, detailing parts and repairs for project documentation.
  • Perform general residential electrical work, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Conduct safety inspections and provide estimates for additional electrical services, including smoke detectors, floodlights, doorbells, and more.
  • Lead and train apprentices as needed, ensuring they are well-equipped for on-site tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in clients' homes, respecting their property.
  • Ability to upsell additional services to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Customer service professional with strong communication skills.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or ability to obtain one (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • 5+ years of residential electrical experience.
  • Familiarity with EV charging stations (highly preferred). 
  • Experience with Smart Home Systems (helpful).
  • Ability to estimate and suggest additional electrical services to clients.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Must pass a background check to work on rebate program projects.
  • Sales experience (preferred but training is available).
  • Ability to mentor and train apprentices.

Schedule:
  • Full Time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility and ability to manage your schedules as necessary

Work Location:
  • Working on the road visiting multiple homes daily
  • Our service area includes the Greater Sacramento area
