Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking an EV Sales Account Manager to join their team. This critical role is responsible for managing key accounts for the EVSE. The role will play an essential strategic role in the growth of the EVSE segment, expanding penetration to existing accounts and onboarding new accounts, including local, national, federal, state, corporate, and utility customers. Emphasis is placed on establishing strong and collaborative relationships with the accounts and being the customer's primary management point of contact for day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of account management and growth, strong personal and presentation skills, and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and qualifying new business from both inbound and outbound leads.

  • Perform general prospecting and marketing, including cold calls and networking.

  • Coordinate with qualified electricians to complete prospective site assessments and create detailed written reports to present to subcontractors and internal teams.

  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.

  • Effectively communicate value propositions through accurate presentations and proposals.

  • Manage tasks and resources related to your customers’ engagements, ensuring optimal productivity and accuracy.

  • Work collaboratively toward team alignment and mutual respect within the sales department and across the organization.

  • Develop strong technical knowledge of Level 2 and direct-current fast charger (DCFC) solutions for powering EVs.

  • Immerse yourself in the EV charging space by tracking market changes, technology advancements, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) developments, and general EV trends, and understanding the needs of EV drivers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or Marketing, Business, or Similar preferred; or minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role and industry.

  • Valid state driver’s license.

  • Experience using spreadsheets & Word-processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Suite & G-Suite)

  • Proficiency in using computers, the internet, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, with the aptitude to learn other digital programs/applications.

  • Proven record of driving successful sales from start to finish.

  • Extensive experience developing new sales opportunities.

  • Experience developing and delivering client-focused, creative, and achievable solutions.

  • Ability and capacity to simultaneously manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills; possess complex problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Experience with EV charging station infrastructure projects, including an in-depth understanding of construction procedures, project management principles, and EV charging products.
