SUMMARY
The Battery Supplier Management Assistant Manager supports the successful development, launch, and ongoing performance of key EV battery suppliers for MNAe MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain. This role coordinates supplier‑related projects from early development through mass production, ensuring timelines, communication, and deliverables remain aligned with production needs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)•Lead assigned supplier projects from development to mass production, ensuring everything stays on track.
•Work closely with the team to manage schedules and report progress, gaining valuable experience in full-cycle project management.
•Identify potential supply or quality issues and collaborate with internal experts and the Manager to find the best solutions.
•Facilitate discussions to resolve challenges efficiently.
•Act as a key coordinator between Specialists and Management, ensuring smooth communication.
•Support junior team members in their daily tasks while receiving guidance from senior leadership.
•Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and tactical execution strategies.
•Provide management reporting on critical project milestones and risks.
•Communicate regularly with upper management and HQ regarding project status and obtain approvals as needed.
•Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
•Support suppliers in meeting quality requirements during development and production phases.
•Respond to supply shortages and resolve supplier-related issues promptly.
•Conduct value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities.
•Review and approve supplier ISIR submissions and conduct quality audits.
•Monitor supplier capacity and implement corrective actions when necessary.
•Ensure stable and timely delivery of supplier components for mass production.
•Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with company and industry standards.
•Analyze production data and collaborate with suppliers to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
•Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on part changes and continuous improvement initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)


Required Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Material, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to organize data and present ideas
•Ability to read 2D/3D drawings
•Strong technical communication skills
•Strong ability to learn


Preferred Education & Experience:
•Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing.
•Familiarity with quality tools (like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and IATF 16949 standards.
•Bilingual: English/Korean proficiency

Working Conditions:
•Office setting with occasional walking between buildings.
•Overtime as needed.
•Domestic and international travel (30%+), including overnight stays required.
•Conduct site visits.
