StarHire is partnering with a successful global IT consulting company involved in many verticals. Initially, we are focusing on the Utilities vertical, and in this case, Electric Vehicle Charging.
We are on the hunt for a Professional Civil Engineer, located in or near Kansas City, St. Louis, or San Antonio. You will design and implement civil engineering solutions for Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with California state regulations and industry standards. In addition, you will
- Assess strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel by testing materials and soil.
- Use design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs; plan and design other necessary and related systems
- Set design specifications by computing grade requirements, ADA access, traffic flow rates, and similar parameters.
- Proficient in greenfield site layout, EV stall design, stormwater pollution prevention plan, grading
- Plan projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
- Draft and present reports on topics related to projects such as environmental impact statements, traffic study and right-of-way descriptions.
- Collaborate with surveyors (or directs and participates in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
- Design concrete pad foundations for EV chargers, switchgear, electrical equipment, signage, canopies, lighting, and other structural elements on EV Charging Sites
- Retaining wall design
- Design stormwater runoff mitigation solutions (retention ponds, underground collection systems, etc.)
- Design ADA compliant parking arraignments and path of travel.
- Perform stormwater runoff calculations
- Consult with and provide guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, modifications, and structural repairs.
- Monitor project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with team to ensure projects progress properly.
