• Supporting the customer molding trials and solve the processing issues by using Trinseo material solution for UD tape and organosheet. Deliver high-quality, timely responses to technical inquiries from customers and distributors.
• Resolve customer technical issues through proactive collaboration with customers, account managers, technical teams, plant personnel, and other stakeholders—ensuring high customer satisfaction with our solutions.
• Support customers in effectively applying our products, highlighting the value proposition in their specific applications.
• Develop a strong understanding of the core technologies behind our products and the battery applications of our customers. Clearly articulate how and why our products are used in customer processes.
• Demonstrate ownership to lead the development and optimization of the manufacturing process in UD tapes and organosheet molding for battery casing to meet project timeline.
• Develop and refine application testing methods to enhance performance evaluation and product validation.
• Gather and translate customer technical requirements into material specific language to guide product development.
• Collaborate with the global R&D team to develop solutions.
• Collaborate with account managers to technically promote Trinseo solutions to customers.
• Develop sales toolkits and deliver technical training to customers.
• Develop the value chain partners from upstream to downstream to validate the application requirements, material (combination), product design, manufacturing technologies and production processes.
• Clarify the testing requirements for UD tapes and organosheet components, especially for EV battery casing. Good understanding of the market trend and customer needs for battery casing.
• Develop and build close relationship with the various parties internally and externally: OEM Account teams, 3rd part test labs, associations… generate market intelligence information and communicate within the team.

• Master or above degree; Major in mechanical engineering, process engineering or industrial engineering preferred
• 5 years plus on the thermoplastic composite material’s process development and technical support. 2 years of experience of EV battery value chain or part design
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Experience in composite materials including polymer knowledge, ideally with thermoplastic matrices. Familiar with Automotive industry, EV Battery Casing related development experiences regarding design, manufacturing and simulation will be highly preferred.
• Technical and commercial attitude from identifying opportunities to positioning material solutions
• Ability to act and communicate effectively across functional, cultural and international boundaries
• Travel Required: 30- 50%
