About the role
Based in Wellington, this role plays a key part the maintenance, diagnostics, and ongoing development of our expanding regional electric truck fleet. With the Waste Management South Division growing to more than 24 electric vehicles in early 2026 and the majority based in Wellington. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the continued performance, safety, and reliability of our WM South heavy EV fleet.
You’ll be supported and trained by our specialist EV Engineering team in Auckland. This position is ideal for a motivated and skilled tradesperson who can work autonomously while collaborating with technical experts across the country.

Schedule:
Typical hours are 40 per week based in Wellington, with some required travel across New Zealand and overtime when required.
