We are looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically to Head od Vehicle Applications & Controls and functionally reporting to the Coordination of Vehicle Dynamics Simulation and Control Strategies.

You will contribute to the vehicle architecture definition, according to vehicle dynamics attributes and functional requirements. You will be responsible of the ride and handling behavior of the car over the whole development cycle, defining and assessing vehicle dynamics KPI in accordance and fulfilment of the stated dates of releases, development costs, within     the overall project timetable.

• Steering product architecture definition, evaluating the performance influence of all features of the vehicle, according to vehicle dynamics KPI and best practice.


• Implementing performance target cascading from vehicle level to sub-system requirements, quantifying the influence of all factors, including setup changes and driver interaction (stability, controllability, balance, etc).


• Supporting and cooperate with Chassis Engineering during project concept definition, improving suspension kinematics and performance.


• Developing  and integrating advanced virtual models within the driving simulator and perform validation in advance to the application on a vehicle program.


• Supporting Vehicle Application & Testing in virtual environment.


• Continuously developing methods, tools, and experiments to increase efficiency and capability of our computational models.


• Making a significant contribution to the level of vehicle dynamics understanding within the team and apply learned lessons to the development of new concepts.


• Occasionally supporting trackside operations, assessment of desired ride and handling behavior and related development activities.

About you

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent education.


• PhD in a relevant field is a plus.


• Demonstrable excellent knowledge of vehicle dynamics.


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an Automotive OEM or Tier1 supplier.


• Experienced in using MathWorks tools like Matlab and Simulink for a clear and well-documented coding.


• Knowledge of Simulation environments (e.g. VI-Grade suite)


• Broad understanding of OBJ Testing and SBJ assessment of vehicle dynamic behaviour


• Experienced in data analysis and signal processing.


• Fully proficient in English, German as a plus but not mandatory


• Team working


• Flexible attitude towards working time and schedule, including business trips.


• Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.


• Strong communication skills with high fluency in English both written and verbal.


• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex automotive systems.
